Adult and Paediatric Specialist Dermatologist
Dr. Gloria Fong is a specialist dermatologist based in Sydney and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD). She provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, across both public and private practice.
Dr Fong holds consultant appointments at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead, where she manages a wide range of acute and chronic dermatological conditions, supervises doctors in training and contributes to clinical research.
She graduated from the University of Sydney before undertaking specialist dermatology training across Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Prior to medicine, she worked as a biomedical researcher in Canada and Sweden and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on collagen-rich tissue research. This scientific background continues to shape her evidence-based and analytical approach to patient care.
A passionate educator, Dr Fong is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is actively involved in the education and supervision of dermatology trainees, junior doctors, medical students, paediatric trainees, and general practitioners. She regularly presents at educational meetings and conferences, sharing practical insights into the diagnosis and management of skin disease. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr Fong believes that dermatological care should be thoughtful, individualised, and centred on clear communication. She works closely with her patients to ensure they feel informed, supported, and confident in managing their skin health. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Sydney's café and restaurant scene, and is fluent in conversational Cantonese.
